Color measurement of snack food
Snacks are very varied, including potato potato chips, crisps, roasted nuts, crackers, pretzel sticks and sweets. They offer flavors that can be sweet, sour, bitter, salty, savory, metallic and spicy. And the visual properties of snacks are just as different as their taste.
The surface of the samples is usually uneven, sometimes speckled with salt or spices and can rarely be measured at specific points. The measurement techniques vary depending on the type of snack, which usually includes coarse-grained, inhomogeneous and irregularly shaped food products .
