Colour measurement of spices
Spices and herbs are available as powders, grains or pastes.
They therefore differ significantly in their chemical and structural properties, but share the common feature of natural opacity and therefore benefit from similar colour measurement techniques and instrumentation. As with all opaque samples, a reflection geometry is used here.
With colorimeters from HunterLab, manufacturers can guarantee a visually consistent and safe product.
