The task
The consistency of margarine does not allow it to be simply placed on an aperture for colour measurement, as this would contaminate the sensitive measuring device. For this reason, it is often laboriously coated in measuring cuvettes for colour measurement, which have to be laboriously cleaned again after the measurement.
The solution
For colour measurement, HunterLab recommends simply placing a margarine block with a pre-cut transparent carrier film on the aperture of the ColorFlex EZ spectrophotometer.
The measurement is very simple:
- Place foil on margarine
- Place the margarine with the foil side on the measuring aperture
- Trigger measurement at the touch of a button
- Read off values
