Jam, marmalade or jelly are viscous or semi-solid samples that can be easily measured in a cuvette. If the product is translucent, the “Ring and Disc Set” is also used. The black ring is placed in the cuvette to ensure the same film thickness for all measurements. The white stamp (disc) excludes ambient light and at the same time provides a standardized background. For opaque samples such as creams, peanut butter, etc., the sample is spread into the cuvette. If there is no need to clean the glass cuvette for time reasons, HunterLab also offers plastic cuvettes that can be disposed of after the measurement.
